OUR STORY
Villa Loren produces its wines in the Verona and Vicenza area, zones of the Veneto that are highly suited to the production of quality wines with a strong personality. These represent a unique terroir and are the bearer of a long viticultural tradition.
Production is carried out with the help of important state-of-the-art facilities that combine tradition with innovation in the best possible way. The grapes destined for wine production are harvested by hand according to the ancient customs of the area in the 2,800 hectares of vineyards.
TERRITORY
The Villa Loren estates are located in Veneto, a region renowned for the production of high quality wines thanks to a combination of geographical, climatic and historical factors that create ideal conditions for the cultivation of different grape varieties, including Pinot Grigio and Glera for white wines, Corvina and Corvinone for red ones. The soil is of calcareous, clayey and tuffaceous origin, which provides good water retention capacity and a structure suitable for growing vines. The climate is typically temperate, with hot summers and cold winters, which favours slow and uniform ripening of the grapes.
The winery operates on different plots of land and as a result the wines have distinctive characteristics: there are savoury, streamlined wines with a slender structure and well-balanced fruit on the nose and palate; and wines with greater complexity and structure.
OUR CELLARS
Villa Loren has several cellars, located in the main production districts. In the province of Verona for Pinot Grigio, in the province of Vicenza for Prosecco and in Valpolicella for Amarone and Ripasso. A team of oenologists follows the entire production process, from vinification to bottling. The modern bottling lines guarantee a constant supply to its customers.
GREEN APPROACH
Making sustainable wine means working with the aim of preserving natural resources for future generations; this can be achieved through the judicious use of plant protection products and rationalisation in the use of production factors.
Villa Loren integrates its production techniques and makes its product traceable. It adopts good agricultural practices to rationalise the use of chemicals, preferring natural methods to control pests and improve soil health. This helps to preserve soil quality, protect local biodiversity and ensure that there are no chemical residues in the wine. Villa Loren optimises the use of water resources and adopts renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic panels to power production and bottling operations. Minimising waste in wine production and processing is an important aspect of the ‘green’ approach.
